Tonight while driving home from work I saw these babies sitting on the side of the road.

So, I thought about it for a couple of hours, tried to get someone to come help me pile them into the car etc etc. But after no real offers of help, I decided to go and get them all by myself.

I must say that I do enjoy all of my pieces of collected furniture and other things that I have found over the past few years.

If these were a little less rough around the edges they would be perfect, but they wouldn't be sitting on the side of the road I guess. Oh well, I shall make them mine.

Through a pair of three dollar speakers, Southernmost by The Lucksmiths plays on a borrowed mp3 player. She drinks a cup of tea from a travel mug and winds up her window.

The light turns green, as they take off, the gold Commodore speeds off and winds through the traffic and out of the white Camry's sight. The white Camry sticks to the speed limit.

There is always atleast one small thing in ones house which will constantly annoy you, yet you do little to make the problem go away...

For me, it is my hot tap in the kitchen.
Every time I turn it, it falls off, I get angry and yell at it, and put it back on... but do nothing to fix the problem for next time.

This makes me laugh and realise how much my house is falling down around my ears.

Its Christmas

am, 1:50, December 25. Christmas Day

After a hideous week at work, with big sales and so on and so forth. I look forward to my two days off. So, I started it with a cup of tea, for one... still cant work out if its incredibly lonely, or the most joyful thing in the world. When I work it out, I am sure I will let you know.

And then I finally decided to make more gingerbread cookies, they almost were massive fail, but I worked it out in the end, they dont taste as good as the first lot, but they look prettier, and isnt that what its all about?

The one with the silver balls on it, thats the perfect one. I wanted to keep it separate, more unique than the others, just so i would remember.

And the night before last, I managed to make a snow man on animal crossing, he will be melted now, but he seemed happy, he wanted a lovely snowgirlfriend, but I didnt make him one in time. Oh well, Im sure he will be happy in his new found puddle.

Earlier this week there was snow where my love is, It would have been wonderful to be there, but I can't be, so this christmas my body will be here, but my mind and my heart will be in the cold, wet and maybe snowy, north of the world.

Today it's hot. But, I wanted to make gingerbread cookies. So when I got back from my driving lesson, I started to make cookies.
Butter, Sugar, check... so i start to mix that... and then go hunting for the eggs, which i could have sworn were in the fridge, but NOOOOO.

So, I have to walk to the shops to get eggs.

And then I made a big mess like I usually do when I bake, still havent cleaned it up...
Couldn't remember if i had put one or two cups of flour, so spent the 10 minutes of baking time thinking i wont actually have cookies at the end of this ordeal. but no, they worked just fine and taste quite lovely.

So, my attempt at getting into the christmas spirit looks like its working on the outside, but if you ask me, its failing miserably, why does it have to be so hot. I have so many lovely christmassy jumpers, and i just cant wear them in 40 degree heat.

UGH. bring on winter.... its only 6 months away...

I went out this weekend, and had a jolly good time. Makes me remember that yes, I do have friends who are indeed willing to spend time with me, and sing songs with me, and dance like fools with me. I also have friends who will help me and my family and know what to do when things get tricky. Also, ones who know just what I want without having to ask.

This is what makes life good, and I remember that now.

Today is weird. Theres no doubting that. I was woken too early by mum getting ready for work, then my alarm, then dad getting ready for work. I really wish we had carpet instead of wood.

Even after I had opened my curtains, I still couldn't see into the corner of my room where my clothes were, the sun was somewhere behind the clouds, which today seem lower than normal.

I can see to the hills which are covered, only half visible through a mass of clouds which are low enough to keep them hidden. Usually they would have cleared up by now, it's often only during the early morning before the sun comes up that they're engulfed in cloud. Today I think its getting heavier.

There is also a dog down the street which won't stop howling or whining. It sounds very sad. It puts an edge to this day. Buster seems very depressed too. Never a good thing.

I hope this day doesnt get any weirder.

Come saturday, my family and I are off to Perth for the 2 week holiday that has been in preparation for approximately 2 years now.

From now on, everything that happens to me will be "when i come back from perth"

So. When I come back from Perth, i will make sure that i start driving lessons.
When I come back from Perth, I will make an inventory of all my camera gear so I can see if its all worth anything.
When I come back from Perth Ill actually try make some savings happen (though this may not be totally possible as two weeks after my return i run away to victor for a couple of days with the swede and the camera man)

Anyway. I think thats all. I just had to put it out there about the camera gear so that i would remember when i return. brilliant.

also. when i return from perth, i will win a game of chess against the computer, not just against a boy who has never played chess before.

So, for the 2008-2009 new years eve, i lost my boyfriend to the lovely city of melbourne, and decided to go to spend it in victor harbour, but not for the party in victor harbour, just to spend a relaxing few days with my nan and pop.

relaxing sometimes is stressful.

So come midnight, i find myself sitting on the couch, watching the television, sydney and melbournes fireworks displays and all their partying. I think i was already in pyjamas, if not trackies. and I just sat there and drew ((terrible at drawing but i try))

I also found myself writing. I havent re-read what i wrote, just took photographs and put them on here. I dont even know if its legible. But who cares.

I think I will start to take a little notebook around with me everywhere I go from now on.

Long lost memories

I find it funny that everyone (well.. the very few people) i have hurt, have gone on and found someone. Those who once though I was the one for them, only to have me turn on them and reject it, after, i suppose, me leading them on for a while.
I guess thats karma.

Only problem is that Im the one still thinking about them. Not in a way that I want to be with them, more the way that I feel as if I have hurt them.
Im also just jelous because they werent good enough for me (wow that sounds bad.. rephrase)... they werent the right ones for me... (much better), and I let them find someone else, so Im still alone. I suppose I enjoy being single, but sometimes you just want someone, some affection.
I cant seem to get that from anyone who actually cares for me, so I seem to be going to the wrong people, then IM the one who gets hurt. Stupid world.
So, I hate hunting for boys, but sometimes it seems thats all I do. Look around the streets, sing chelsea dagger, huuh, and uuh at boys. But never anything is really gunna happen. I should have made out with wheres wally.

So, I just wonder if all the mistakes I have made in the past are just going to haunt me forever. I know ive tried to forget about these people, but theyre always in the back of my mind. I suppose its guilt. But I dont know what I can do about it! I cant just msg them out of the blue saying "sorry for being a bitch and not talking to you, but hey, you creeped me out and were a bit too full on, you should have known im a commitmentphobe!".... theres a couple of reasons for that not gunna happen... a) thats not right for me to go and intrude on what seem to be like perfectly happy (bah what is that) relationships
and b) i deleted their numbers.

So... Im the bitch. I know that, I did bitchy things on the weekend, another lot of things I should probably take back but my pride (and carly) wont let me... I just have to deal with the consequences I suppose. Ill just be lonely till someone totally awesome and worthy of what is known as ... awesomenss... come and take me away... maybe somewhere awesome. Ok, drifting.
But the moral to this story is.... Never be horrible to people who dont deserve it, its you who will feel the pain later down the track.
Learn from my mistakes.

Ikea and cabinets

Today Carly and I went to Ikea with friend Sharyn and a person. Her name was Carly also.
Hah. Anyways. So, after sitting, losing trollies, collecting trollies and all that jazz
We did the long walk through the showroom, where for the first time ever I wrote down where the things I wanted were.
And how successful was I!
Very, so successful that I spent my first $116 at Ikea. Usually I only ever spend about $3. But no, this time I bought a table and a cabinet and a couple of cute things that I have hunted for for months.
So, the car ride home was clearly awesome, you could even say eventful... I may have been mistaken for a rider on a rollercoaster. My seat didnt lock in due to the awesome boxes in the back. Well, it may have been dangerous, but fun always wins over danger.
Anyways, I made it home alive.
I put together my red table, easy. Its now in the corner of my room holding my studebaker and looking fabulous.
Next was to put my locker cabinet together, I knew this would be awkward enough, but little did I know how unco I actually am.
Thank the lord for fathers hey!
So, after a whole lot of stress, a cabinet was put together
and how wonderful it is!
Id show you a photo, but i havent put them anywhere yet.
So, thats the story. I have wonderful Ikea things in my bedroom now.

Things to be forgotten

So, of late I have had a very bad bad short term memory.
This can come in handy if you want to forget things you have done recently.
Like my saturday night, I had plenty of fun, went to the cavern, danced lots, then headed over to gosh with James and Ellyn. Strange things went down at gosh though.
I ended up at a place I did not want to return to, and I made another mistake. I wish that was part of forgetting. How ever, I was taken care of none the less.
I should be greatful of the person who lent me a bed and helped me in the morning, but I feel as if I have done something wrong. Anyways.
I need to now question why we do such stupid things when we know they are so wrong!
Was it the alcohol, was it the need for safety and something familiar? or was it just coz my brain didnt work and I couldnt think of anywhere else to go.
Yes, carly, you know what I mean, and I know you are dissappointed in me, But if it makes you feel better, there was no snuggling! hahaha.

So, I ended up sleeping all day yesterday after catching a train from adelaide to noarlunga home alone, I should have eaten more satuday night, I woke up and was sick with nothing! I hate that, it hurts lots.
Im so charming.
I got in a punch up in bed and am waiting for the bruises.
I have found a scratch approximately 14 centermeters long on my upper arm
and Many bruises and scratches everywhere else.
I need to thank Nick and his friends, pity I cant remember their names, for catching a taxi to where ever with me and keeping me safe and stuff.
I am sure that I should thank other people. but heres the deal. I think only one person will read this, and shes already mentioned. Silly spotty children, though we love them so!

So this is my farewell, I need to continue to listen to dean martin and nat king cole. Their voices are wonderful and safe and remind me of granma. What a lovely place to be.

A new beginning

Welcome to me! Whoot.
Well. Since I have begun blogging more often on the wonderful Myspace.. cough... I decided that maybe, just maybe, i could follow in the footsteps of an awesome wonderful person I know.
